Hi, I’m Petra Groening a self-taught artist based in Emerald Beach, NSW. My art journey began seven years ago when I picked up a paintbrush as a hobby after visiting an Art Gallery displaying the amazing works of young artists. Little did I know, this hobby would soon become a profound passion that would shape my life in unexpected ways.

Without formal training, I immersed myself in the world of different mediums, colours, textures, and techniques, learning and growing with each stroke. The positive feedback and encouragement I received on Instagram and Artist communities around the world fuelled my desire to create and share more of my work.

My art reflects my deep love for animals, plants and humans, capturing the essence of nature and the emotions they evoke. Each piece is a journey, a story waiting to be told. I strive to awaken emotions and spark imagination through my paintings, and I hope to be a companion to those seeking respite from life’s challenges—a visual storyteller who speaks directly to the heart.

Building a community of art lovers and engaging with my audience has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my journey. I cherish the connections I’ve made and the support I’ve received, which has inspired me to take the leap and start my own art business, to share the love of my craft.

As I continue to grow and evolve as an artist, I look forward to expanding my portfolio, hosting art classes, and perhaps one day, exhibiting my work in galleries. Thank you for joining me on this creative journey.
